Where abouts am i able to get a modded/or get modified the standard ecu on my rb20? Chiptorque want $700 which i could almost buy an aftermarket ecu for that much... i remember some people do exchanges for the original one plus a few hundred $. What sort of power gain would be expected, it has FMIC, S2 RB25 turbo, turbo back exhaust, pod filter, 15psi?

that sounds similar to the set up i'll be running, when i've ask this ? i got an answer of around 180+rwkw, towards the ECU i'm think the same way you are 700 for chip and tune or 1300 for new ecu and tune with money saved on rechipping and tune (chiptorque= 500 upgrade and tune) later...

well chiptourqe in Sydney want $1500 for my RB20 ECU i think $700 is pretty reasonable, i would be happy to pay that for someone who knows what they are doing.

i know Toshi on this forum does some exchanges for about $200 for a new chip. the difference is he only changes some base settings, whilst a dyno tuner will setup the ECU specificallly for your car - and as you know everyones car behaves differently.

I would say spend $700 on a professional to tune your ECU if you dont plan on any further modifications, otherwise go all out and buy a PFC you can get them for around $1000 for an RB20 on greenline or nengun now.
