HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! as a air con shop they don't know this???

you might want to think about the shop your taking this to...

as a general rule you do not put more than 2 cans in if the system is dry...

They are the pro's they should be telling you this...

Just to be clear these are the types of can I'm talking about: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-Case-12-cans-DuPont-Suva-w-UV-134a-Auto-MADE-USA-refrigerant-Freon-R134a-/160990685363?_trksid=p3284.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSI%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BUA%252BFICS%26otn%3D21%26pmod%3D161011745405%26ps%3D54

I'm in the UK, the Cefiro basically doesn't exist here, it's not on any databases.

Apparently they were able to find a figure, but this was relayed to me by the receptionist as "eight hundred and something", I don't even know what unit.

Doesn't matter anyway as the condenser is leaking, and I can't get a new one until Tuesday. Getting one of a 1995-1996 A32 Maxima. Apparently the 1996-1998 A32 has a different one according to my supplier. Not sure what the difference is. I have to supply my own as even A32s are rare here and none of their suppliers can get one.

I'm in the US and they don't exsit here either, I'm the only legal one I know of, the A32 won't fit if you have a A31... just FYI you need one either out of a F31 and the lines like i did or you need to get the actual A31 condensor.

I have mine if all you need is the condensor but I'm not sure how much the shipping would be to the UK from SoCal.

Hmm,

The parts thread on here says the condensor and the dryer from the A32 fit, and I know the A32 dryer does because I did that a couple of years ago.

The diagram of the A32 Maxima condensor on the various parts sites looks about right for what is in my car, something like this:

Maybe the US spec A32 is different? I don't think the F31 exists in this country either.

Well the mounting tabs don't fit, i tried they don't line up. maybe it's the US spec ones... LOL!

Well just trying to help you out since no one else seems to be contributing to this thread... I spent a year trying to find parts for my a/c and trying to get it to work. Finally did a few weeks ago.

Try it out I guess but even that diagram you have doesn't seem right again look at my build thread I have pictures of my install and the condensor is different than that picture. the tabs are on top.

Here is the picture of the mounting tab I'm talking about:

and here is another picture of the 2 condensors , the stock A31 I took out of my car on the bottom and the F31 I put in on the top, you can see the mounting tabs are different from the picture you put up.

Hope this helps.

Hmm, you're right, the A32 one is somewhat different. Looks like it won't physically fit :(

Oddly though, according to this site:

http://www.gamela.com.tw/product/GCN1545.html

An R32 one will fit? Found an R32 one on Australian eBay and it looks about right: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm//261134829805

Those should but you will want to check your lines after to make sure the fittings are the same size, but yes they should fit.

The R32 had 2 types of condensors which were both offered which were the type we have on the A31 and a screw in type that is found along with the S13.

Make sure you get the type shown in the pictures and you should be fine.

Oh and one more thing, you might have to replace the bottom spacers with your orignal ones when doing the swap at the bottom of the condensor to make the mounting tabs line up.

Not hard they just pop off and you replace them with the ones off your stock unit. You'll see when doing the swap.

Good luck.

  • 1 month later...

Still struggling with this one. All the R32 ones I've found have been the wrong type. If anything they look like a wing-mount design.

I'm guessing that the GTR swapped the position of the AC condenser and intercooler, so I need to find a GTS one?

Oh dear. Not many GTSes over here :(
