i have a loud knocking noise only once you open the throttle at idle there is no noise or when you give a quick tap on the throttle but when you open it up there is a loud knocking sound coming from intake side of engine

Loud knocking sounds terminal! Your lack of detail in the post will not get you much of an answer though.

Type of engine?

How'd it start?

Does it have oil?

Is there a rod out the block?

Electrical failure. Check to see if the alternator is still there!!

r34 gtt rb25det neo reversed it out of the shed and the noise started had an oil change less then 1000ks ago no rod out of the block idles perfect runs great just knocks no smoke no miss

Got an oil pressure gauge?

Got the right oil filter on it?

Got the sump plug?

Check with a screwdriver to your ear or similar and isolate where the noise is coming from..... Harmonic Balancer could have shit itself or a number of things!

have tried the screwdriver trick it seems to be coming from the top end more so around the cam shaft area on intake side
