Hi All,

This is firstly an EOI for a Group Buy (GB).
~ Serious buyers for this Group buy EOI starts NOW and closes 24th May 2013. Think before adding your name in this thread, as it will be the GB thread if I get enough interest.

~ Decision to proceed or not will be made by me on the 24th based on interest shown.

~ Discussions in relation to comparisons, tech specs, merits and costs of other brands and suppliers to be held in the General section. This is the EOI/GB thread for Nismo Twin Plates, either you want one or you don't (Harsh ?).

Group buy if run will be 24th of May ~ Closing 7th of June 2013. "show me the money"

Recently my clutch got lunched and I needed a new one. Did some research and settled on the Nismo Super Coppermix Twin plate - Competition.

A lot of good information and reviews on SAU. One issue I faced was timeframe as I didn't want my GTR off the road for 2-3weeks. Anyway that's another story.

For now I have a new 'other brand' twin plate. However I am still keen to buy one of these and potentially on sell my new one. I'll decide over the next few weeks.

With the current exchange rate Prices are good for Aussies (and I guarantee it wont last too much longer - read over by Xmas). It's starting now to set up for the worse :(

EOI for NISMO - Supper Coppermix Twin & Comp Clutches; BNR32/BCNR33 - not BNR34 but with enough genuine interest I will get prices.

1. Nismo Super Coppermix Twin Plate; 471kw/640hp, 950kg pressure, 2.08kg lighter than stock

- Allowable torque of 84 kgfm for dynamic friction (Stactic friction:143 kgfm) Handles an estimated allowable power of 670 ps

Price is estimated at $1700 delivered

2. Nismo Super Coppermix Twin plate Competition spec; 574kw/780hp, 1150kg pressure, 2.08kg lighter than stock.

Price is estimated at $1800 delivered

Note: Prices are very good current estimates.

Based on Volume, Shipping method and AUD conversion on the day it may be even cheaper :woot:

The above prices include EMS freight. Cheaper still using SAL or SEA.

Freight rates on current exchange are as follows..

EMS : $235

SAL : $187

SEA : $100 (so therefore if you can wait subtract another $135)

One of the advantages is these clutches 'feel' very close to OEM but handle a truck load more power.

Delivery - 2-3 weeks GB closing using EMS. ( up to 1 week from Manufacturer to supplier, 1 week to ship (4-6days), +1 week to account for any delays which may be experienced and unforseen)

Supplier: To be announced on GB closing date and prices locked down.

Any questions please PM me.

Cheers

Richard

is that 640hp at the wheels ?

I'm currently making 474 RWKW (630 rwhp) and its been in the car for 7 years. I really think those figures are conservative. Never had any issue with it slipping.

Estimated Prices only - may fluctuate with AUD until orders confirmed and then placed.

Therefore I have added a little risk factor pricing in the attached spread sheet.

Minor Update

- should have something pretty firm on Monday eve. Decision to go/no go on the GB.

- so far 5 have shown interest. Hopefully these are committed.

- > Anymore for anymore ?

After looking at a number of online shops, contacting them to see if they can do better on a group buy, prices don't differ very much at all with a few of our well known and respected individual suppliers.

In fact every one is pretty much the same at the moment.

Unless some really good pricing comes back from a number of enquiries this GB will be terminated. Sorry., seemed good at the time.

As it appears I can't do much better than you could do yourself :(

I have my personal preferred supplier who will get back to me tomorrow evening with a final price.

If anyone else has someone on the inside and can do a deal 'WE' would like to hear from you (PM me) !

Will go 1700 delivered on mine below if anyone is keen and the group buy doesn't pan out...used literally less than 500kms
