Anyone Had This Problem With R33 Gtr

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just a small annoying problem with my baby

When driving I get a total "miss" every once in a while

It's like engine stops for a millisecond and then continues fine

I have tried to find a pattern but there doesn't seem to be any

Can be any speed, any gear, just random

I am thinking maybe fuel pump?

Any ideas

Hey mate mine does this too, usually when I've backed off the throttle at low revs then as I start to build revs again can get a miss. Only in 3rd or 4th though, and not very often. I thought I read somewhere on here that it was a common thing for RB26s so I wasn't too worried; car runs great otherwise :)

Are you by any chance running a Power FC?

This is an age old issue, a search will show heaps of results.

OP can be forgiven though, as its been a LONG time since it was last discussed in detail.

Sorry for the late reply

YES I do have a power FC

Never heard of this but I am only a few years old into these great cars

I can live with it!

It's not just a plug connection problem to the PFC?

No its with the ecu itself I think. Not much you can do about it. Apparently some people doesnt have it but most do, Some tried checking the earth/ground but doesnt really solve it issue.

I have that issue too and its mostly during cruising. I was told by reputable tuners that it is common will not cause any issue.

Thanks Brandon

That puts my mind at ease

Was wondering what would happen if it "missed" at WOT at 8000 revs.

It seems to only happen (or I notice it) at cruising revs
