Please let it have:

Better sounds (Too much effort on screeching tyres and not enough on engine/exhaust sound)

Better shadows (Come on it was like minecraft shadows)

Better modification (None of this "Stage 1" shit. Body kits, wheels etc etc. Could learn a thing or two from Forza)

And GTFO my game GT4 cars!

Will pre-order it, but will try and not get my hopes up this time, lol.

Will probably be the first GT I wont buy. GT6 needed to be optimised for PS4 for it to anything special.

This just seems an expansion on GT5.

Exactly. I remember that kaza-whateverhisnameis said the game was intended for the next playstation platform.

ive been wasting countless mins watching videos by this guy (he's a typical US man with too much time and loves the sound of his own voice) who compares both games very deeply. And ive never seen or played Forza 4 but this has opened my eyes to a better world without GT. The things you may not like about Forza are easily liveable without... the things that are annoying in GT5 are deal breakers. The simple and quick-loading menus, the modifications available (engine conversions, drivetrain conversions. I had no idea you could do those things).

if you have some time and only know GT watch from 25min onwards

Sony explains why Gran Turismo 6 is debuting on PS3, not PS4

SCEE CEO Jim Ryan says PlayStation 3 still has "a lot of potential," would rather launch on platform that has 70 million units sold already.

Sony has spoken out to explain why upcoming racing simulator Gran Turismo 6 will debut on the PlayStation 3 and not the company's next-generation PlayStation 4.

Speaking with the PlayStation Blog, SCEE CEO Jim Ryan said Sony is confident that the PS3 "has a lot of potential" that developer Polyphony Digital can make use of.

"You had GT1 and GT2 on PS One; GT3 and GT4 on PS2; then there's GT5 on PS3 and a space next to it. The difference between Gran Turismo and GT2 is unbelievable, but they're both on the same platform," Ryan said. "The difference between GT3 and GT4 is huge. We're absolutely confident when GT6 comes, you'll see a big step change up from GT5 too. There's still a lot of potential on PS3 that a developer like Polyphony can really exploit."

Sony added that if it were to release Gran Turismo 6 on the PS4, it would be doing so with a day-one install base of zero, compared to the more than 70 million PS3 units already sold.

"And the other factor is that on PS3 we have an install base of 70 million units. On PS4 on launch day we'll have an install base of zero units," Ryan said. "There'll be plenty of games to help drive PS4--not least DriveClub in the racing genre from Evolution Studios, a studio with a fantastic pedigree."

Though Gran Turismo 6 has been announced only for the PS3, Polyphony Digital president Kazunori Yamauchi said last week, "We have a PS4 version in mind for the future."

oh joy, more talking around in circles! :)

It's more of a 5.5 than 6. But I'm ok with this, that means I don't need to buy the PS4 until its more affordable.

Having played a fair bit of Fortza4 lately....both it and GT have their hit and misses. seriously, where is the smoke in forza? and why are all cars massively tail happy? Granted the sounds are amazing though. but alot of the other features are far to gimmicky and useless. RWD Civics and shit....Pft.

A combination of both GT and Fortza would be great, all the best bits of both :)

GT6 is rumored to have3 Many more body mods and wheels.......and I know Polyphony have been out at Bathurst measuring the track up. hopefully its for this one!

why does GT6 need 1200 cars? Do we really need 12 variations of the miata? 30 different cars to choose for the micro car races? pick-ups? horns, hlemets, driver suits... B-spec in general! what are they thinking

I agree with that, and IMO it was the problem with the other ones - too many very similar variations of cars, that all felt almost exactly the same.

You'd have to be fairly bored or dedicated to even bother with B spec at all!

Pls let it have more/ new cars like the R34 Nismo Z tune, convert older GT4 cars to GT5 standard, faster racing loading times, mod app for upgraded brakes, and definitely more attention to engine sound rather than squealing tyre noises

This, they need to concentrate on changing the standard cars to all premium, and forget about the duplicate models.

+1 for cars in Forza being tail happy.

And the crashes are far from spectacular, I think I preffer little to no damage.

On that note GRID2 is pretty fun, with spectacular crashes and sounds. and is available now for all formats! cheap :)

Agreed, and in fact I'm just over the GT franchise in general. Last few releases have been a massive let down and not the step up from previous versions everyone was expecting.

I think i struggled to get 2 weeks out of GT5.

Drive a proper sim and you very quickly realise how rubbish GT is in every aspect, except cool looking promo vids

The new game play they introduced a release or so back sucks the biggest balls of all

PS - now all you farkers head on over to the iracing thread. we need an SAU series!!

    • Reasonably hard, although I haven't run it with the new Endless setup yet. The old brakes were F50's on 335mm rotors and the car did a 1:40.6 at Phillip Island which is a reasonable time, I'm seeing high 600s on the temperature paint. A guy I know ran the Endless fluid at WTAC without issues and he was doing 1:33's I think (Evo) with a 355/332 setup. I don't get out to the track as much as I'd like but we put the car on the hoist and spanner check every bolt and re-paint mark everything, bleed the brakes, change the fuel, check the coolant system and re-bleed blah blah blah before every event. Motorsport is expensive, RB's are expensive so a couple of hours before an event is time well spent. It's also a net time saving because if you can keep your RB from self destructing it saves you time in the long term!
    • Welcome Alice......hope you have a bit more luck from here on! What was done in the build?
    • Hello! I'm new here, I have an R33 GTST that is currently being finished up! Last year was pretty rough, blew two stock turbos so I decided to build the car. Has been down since November, but I get it back next weekend!
    • Hello, I believe my car was imported to America in the 2000s by Kaizo Industries. Would anyone be able to help me find more info on them? I've only found all the basic stuff like that paul walker bnr34, them being shutdown by feds, just stuff like that. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
    • I am using Motec M150.  I am not working on the car myself actually.  My workshop is giving all these info, they are quite reputable in the industry and are very familiar with Motec and RBs and have done a few big setups with VCam and single turbo on RBs.  In fact, they built and tuned my engine from day one.  But they are stumped with my engine at the moment and cannot work out how come the compression is so low with the VCam. They told me that they have now swapped in some Kelford cams (without the VCam) and can achieve around 130psi compression and the low end torque is better, but now the engine is doughy as.  It boosts and peaks at more than 1000rpm slower, with twin HKS GTIII RS, it doesn't get full boost until over 5000rpm. I have always thought the VCam was a bit disappointing at the low rpm. To a point I had to ride the clutch a fair bit to get up a small hill from stand still.  That was when I had a clutch.  Now changing to a 8HP, I don't have that luxury and this problem has become a major issue. I am beginning to think the VCam never work since the day it was installed.  Maybe it was just sitting at the most advanced point, that is why it went good at top end but very ordinary at the bottom.  Therefore, with the help of the Holinger 6 speed and paddle shift, as long as it was moving, it drove pretty good.
