Im looking at buying an r33 96 gtst, i love these cars but i have a couple of concerns.

being an imported car what are parts like and the availablity for them? and the cost of them compared to other cars, such as toyota and

commodores etc

is there many aftermarket general maintance and wear and tear parts for them? such as water pumps, power steering units etc. The items that generally go and need to be replaced.

is there any parts on anyother cars that will fit the skyline.

Im sayin this cause i dont want to buy a car that its difficult to get parts for, having owned holdens for some time. its certainly a change

ok firstly a skyline is an expensive car, maybe not at first but parts will usually always be pricier than your standard falcadore bits, and you'll either catch the modding bug or something will eventually wear out.

That said, parts ARENT too hard to come by and in my opinion arent prohibativly priced.

As for after market bits.... yes there are some, infact lots.

Also some parts can also be subbed in from non imports... like a clutch from a nissan patrol.

Maintanance is pretty straight forward too, there are a number of places that specialise in imports (UAS etc etc).

So whether u be into DIY or paying someone else to do it, there are lots of parts available but yes they will be more expensive than yr standard falcadore part but not hard to come by.

infact best thing i can recommend is this.

check out Unique Auto Sports and Just jap.

Alot of the parts here are upgraded (aka not stock) so it will give u a reference on what to expect. i mean why replace something with a stock item eh?
