matt13b
Has anyone programmed some kind of flip key for their M35 Stagea's? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/425664-flip-key-m35/ Share on other sites
M35woah
I think you just need the case of a flip key?? Then just put the guts of your key into it and get it cut. I'm not 100% sure. Daleo
This looks like the closest match; but would rely on the key blank being correct. Then it would be a matter of transplanting the transponder from your OEM key into the shell. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-2-Button-Remote-Flip-Key-Shell-Case-MICRA-PATHFINDER-NAVARA-350Z-/261137460205?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3ccd016bed&_uhb=1 It's not a huge expense; let us know how you get on! I boned the OEM Central Locking key/remote when i had my immobiliser fitted; and the size of the OEM thing shit me to tears. My normal sized key+tiny Autowatch fob is a much better proposition in the pocket. Commsman
There's no way to put a keyring on that one you linked Dale. So you'd have a rectangular key fob (nearly as big as the original key anyway, lol) floating around separate to everything else. Still a good way of refreshing the old keys though I suppose. scotty nm35
As far as I know none of the turbo Stagea's had transponders in the key, so it should be fairly straight forward. I can't stand the Audi flip key personally. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/425664-flip-key-m35/#findComment-6860449 Share on other sites

scotty nm35
Worth an extra 10k though? I would rather the turbo still... Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/425664-flip-key-m35/#findComment-6860505 Share on other sites

scotty nm35
I would rather a healthy power curve than a ricer push button start. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/425664-flip-key-m35/#findComment-6862012 Share on other sites
M35woah
I would rather a healthy power curve than a ricer push button start. Glad we don't have a ricer start button then. Still gotta turn the ignition but without the key in it. Hey, there are lots of things I'd rather aswell, like not having to replace tubz after 100k km or carrying around AFM because paranoid . scotty nm35
There is no 'Tech stuff' involved, simply get the key cut... Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/425664-flip-key-m35/#findComment-6869576 Share on other sites
