Blow Off Valve, Yellow Sticker Question

Hi

R34 Gtt got a yellow sticker for HID's, replaced them and went over pits and was told the blow off vavle add to be silent??

I didnt think they could be, does anyone know if this is possable or how its done ?

I thought they just had to be below a certian decibel level can anyone help me out on this or is the guy at the pits just winding me up.

Recirculating BOVs are legal as the gas is recirculating.

Atmospheric BOVs are illegal as the vent into the atmosphere thus generating more emissions.

I haven't heard of anyone going on about the decibel of the BOV, as if they would do more noise pollution than exhausts. In which state are you located? If NSW, I believe you can go to an authorized inspection station, so basically any mechanics that can do blue slips. Half of them don't give a crap.

Depends if it has a pod filter and is plumbed back but wound up tight so it chatters or flutterz?? That could be a no no....
