Number 2 is completely false.

If the paint is in good factory condition, there should be no damage to the paint work, issues arise when vehicle owners don't tell wrappers (or don't know) that they've had panel/paint work done and the preparation has been dodgy in which case paint can be removed when removing the vinyl.

Factory vehicle paint shoud grip the surface of the vehicle at somewhere between 10-13kg/cm2 if i'm not mistaken (correct me if im wrong here), Most vinyl adhesives have a grip strength of about 3kg/cm2.

If you are damaging/removing paint, you're doing something wrong or there was something wrong with the paint to begin with.

Vinyl is NOT designed to be used to cover up crappy paint as if there are any imperfections in the paint, you will see it through the film. It is designed as a long term removable styling option, not a substitue for bad paint.

However, how many skylines really do have 'zero damage across the life of the vehicle'. I know a lot of people would like to think it does, but the reality of a 15-20 yr old vehicle...

Also how hard to get off is the vinyl adhesive- the glue that would be left over on the paintwork after the vinyl is removed.

Most quality wrap films will leave minimal adhesive residue when removed withn a year or 2 of application, various factors can affect how much is left behind such as how the vehicle is kept, ie; left out doors all day/night vs garaged. The longer a film is on for, the more likely it is to leave residue, however it is still possible to remove it all.

There are various adhesive removing solutions available that we use for removing old graphics etc... when necessary.

      Update Got turbo back from hypergear, installed everything etc. Bled coolant, wasn't smoking so I thought beauty she's sorted now. Went on a drive, car up to temp, let it idle for about 15 seconds, gave it some gas...nice puff of smoke again. Fml No doubt my turbo was pretty worn anyway but nonetheless frustrating that the problem persists.

      Lol, yeh sure. But I'm not changing the head on this engine. Turbo is the current mod im looking at; as the VCT-2.6L  engine im building is getting the turbo setup i posted so the old built RB25DE needs a snail

      New setup just needs a VCT enabled head and it will come on so much earlier. At least 500rpm of added response, if not more.

      Something to note, on an aftermarket BOV, it's quite possible to end up with the worst of both worlds, where on light throttle, there isn't enough force to open the BOV so you get small reversion and driveability issues, and with the venting to atmosphere, it dumps a lot of fuel on shifts. Realistically, dumping to atmosphere under power isn't a major driveability issues, compared to the issues of stalling from reversion. If you're getting up the throttle, then putting the clutch in, say on a shift up, but then don't release the clutch, yes, the engine can and will stall, but, just drive around it, and that's easy, let the clutch out in the next gear and the car rolling will keep it all running / going.who wants a hard hit of throttle and then to just let the motor idle anyway?   Main issue for driveability is blipping throttle and it wanting to stall, like when parking or trying to move in slow traffic.
