Upgrading Brakes, Need To Upgrade Booster?

Hi all,

I bought turbo brakes for my na34. Just wondering if the turbo brake booster is the same size as the na brake booster?

Booster will be the same. Even if it wasn't I wouldn't bother. But are you asking about the booster or the master cylinder?

Booster shouldnt matter, maybe a new master cylinder to cope with the extra fluid displacement. But I dont think there is that much difference between turbo and NA (could be wrong) so you should get away with it

What if the difference is insignificant?

Here's my tip. Go to import car yard. Lift bonnent on R34 GTT. Look at markigs on MC. Compare with yours.

Try it with your existing MC. If the pedal goes to the floor (or near to it) you need a bigger one... otherwise don't bother you will just be increasing the effort required to push the pedal for no gain.

Its not the necessary but it is recommended the change of both items. This provide a good grip and control to the car, you can feel it easily. As when you change brakes and some time period, you'd come to know that its time to change the booster. So, its better to change them at a time. Sometimes you'll get some discount on it and this is the thing that everyone wants.
