Not arguing...just passing on my results with a few caveats. Three curves are

- RB20 TD06-20G 8cm housing (call it 0.63)

- RB25 TD06-20G 8cm housing (call it 0.63)

- RB25 TD06-20G 12cm housing (call it 0.84)

Was largely looking at spool and power they would make. Didnt want to spend too much money on dyno time so only rough tune enough to get a feel for where they were headed. Between the 8cm and the 12cm I would go back to the 8cm. My T67 has a 10cm housing and hunting around for an 8cm housing at the moment for it

All are my car, same set of tyres. The RB25 is an R32 DE so I used the same 6boost manifold and Turbosmart gate, same Plazmaman plenum and R34 GTR cooler, injectors, PFC etc etc with no VCT. All that changed what the engine which was a truly bolt in affair.

GT3071 and TD06-20G are different but not hugely. 68mm vs 71mm compressor and 65mm vs ? GT30 are about 60mm arent they?

So different turbos with different trims but its a fair rule of thumb that they generally make about the same power as one another. 20G/3071 and 25G/3076 is not a bad starting point for assessing turbo sizes.

If its a street car running E85 then I say just slap on what you have and I think you will find it mega grunty and fun to drive. If you were buying a new turbo then perhaps it is not what you would spec up...but would certainly work and work well (remembering he has the turbo already and its a street car)

I am betting it will bag 310-330rwkws depending on what boost is up it and health of engine. Be way mroe grunty then any twin setup running -9s (I would imagine)

My R33 gtst has run a GT3071R 0.63 for the last 6 years on 13psi with no dramas and has great response. I am not real fussed on all the finer specs but it has got lazier over the last 2.5 years but still pulls hard. When it was on street rubber it was a wheel spin monster Hehe it was very snappy and responsive but did struggle to breath over 6800 rpm it is a great set up but it may struggle to breath up top with a 0.63.

But if you have one already just strap it on see what happens.

O yer I only run pump so maybe the corn juice will help.

    • I believe mine is helical and not clutch type. During drifting one wheel was spining as if it was open diff so bought kazz 1.5 way and has sat on my shelf for the past 5 years as I want to learn shiming process and do it myself   in meantime thought I change the diff oil hence post here. So any 75-90?   i am pretty sure r34 are helical not clutch lsd as standard . That is gtt ones
    • Throw between gears are so much that is getting annoying. I have pro short shifter on my mx5 and e36 and love it . Skyline is getting unbearable    would syncro issues and short shifter is no no? Anyone mind explaining a little on why before i buy cube
    • No. Well, some people "seem to use redline shockproof in the diff". Most do not. I would only contemplate it if you have badly worn CW&P gears. And no. No-one in their right mind has ever put ATF into a diff. Any normal diff/gear oil of the right viscosity will do. Whatever takes your fancy. Castrol, Nulon, Penrite, Redline MT range. Whatever. It's just gears. 75W-90 or 80W-90 is typical. I think that GL-5 is hard to avoid these days, although I think that a GL-4 is probably preferred, given the vintage of the equipment. At least Redline offer a number of GL-4 oils. If you have a clutch type LSD instead of the VLSD, then of course you need a proper LSD oil. Anything from any of the same names above. If you have a helical LSD, then it does not require LSD oil, and the recco is the same as for the VLSD. You don't want the LSD friction modifiers in the oil for a non-clutch type LSD if you can avoid it.
    • You may want to list it up for a little higher - This price is much lower than you may realize. Here you're pretty much selling to people who most likely already have these things on their own rigs. S chassis people eat this stuff up like you'd not believe.
    • I had my car for over 10 years and done around few thousand miles but never changed the oil. thinking of changing it.   what brand and viscocity would you put in ? people seem to use redline shockproof in the diff   on  contraty seen others using atf dexron 2 or 3 so wanted to check. is it 1 liter?
