AS FOR YOU CO*K HEAD WATCH WHAT YOU TYPE!

I think it was a pretty fair call in terms of what he meant, it's pretty low to take a company that has put thousands of hours into R&D and proven results and then just copy the design to save a few dollers... Stao was pretty clear in his statement and i think he was pretty fair too!

Stao you should try create some new wheels that match ir beat the hta comp wheels as Lithium mentioned. I always prefer to go local if I can. I just dont know what to do im not using the plain new gt3076 I have in the shed.

Don't drip stuff which is not relevant to this thread into it - this is about FP HTA turbos, not Hypergear, and not anyone copying or trying to compete with HTA. A relevant comparison (whether the HTA or the competitor outperforms doesn't matter - just something informative) would be good, be very interesting to get a Hypergear vs HTA comparison on the same dyno and setup for example... but otherwise, its just spam.

Get in touch with FP, or GTPumps - Josh.... pretty sure GTPumps do hybrids using HTA compressors, so maybe able to help.

Would the quality and response of the GTpumps match with what FP are doing. Otherwise it would probably be worth it to just go straight to FP

The extra bit of boost is worth it in the mid isn't it. Must be impossible to keep it stuck down.

A lot of extra boost for not much gain... Honestly on 20psi its enough of a handful :D

I find it interesting that FP no longer offer twin scroll housings........

In other news - FP have released a Super 99 HTA turbo, a 103lb/min T3 flanged (hopefully they release other flange versions - but still) turbo capable of >1000hp. MENTAL!

Oh, right... when the SUPER 94 isnt enough... lol :woot:

The super 94 is never enough! I am thinking of a super 99 for the van :P

34geetee, pitty it wont hold boost, what boost control you have?

Can make it hold boost if we really wanted too but no point creating the extra heat etc....

Adam explained it too me but it was over my head, i just smiled and nodded lol.... Basically it was done for longevity of the turbo and engine....

I had HKS EVC 5 and now Greddy Profec B II, funnily enough despite what all the reviews say the Greddy is better than the HKS on my car!

Matt cant your haltech control boost as well? May I ask why you use the greddy?

Josh

Yes the haltech can if the solenoid is added, we have always stuck with external boost control though, it was a decision made during the build and there was reasoning, i cant remember what it was though lol

Interesting - when I was looking around at boost controllers I found the Blitz Dual SBC seemed to be the overall best respected by people I trusted. With my playing around with cars so far I by far like "decent" aftermarket ECU in-built boost control setups... ie, the G4 Link boost control has been brilliant for me and I'd assume the Haltech would be no worse. Why not use that?

I honestly dont remember man, it was a reason that i just cant recall lol
