As discussed earlier - sucks to hear you were so screwed around by the guy who was meant to be supplying it, it would have loved to have seen how the HTA3582 would have gone on the car.... would have been a weapon!

While it's a bit of a compromise, the SS2 is good value for money and locally supported and still not a shabby performer! Update the HG thread when it's done :)

Apologies if this has been covered in the previous pages (I've read most but not all) - but has anyone ordered a HTA turbo and optioned the proprietary Forced Performance 3.25in in / 2.00in out anti-surge compressor covers.

I only ask if there are any real world downsides to the performance of these covers which may fitment advantages over the physically larger 4in in / 2.5 in out covers.

Cheers in advance.

Would depend on the size of turbo id imagine. The bolt on Evo turbos FP make use an 3.25" anti surge inlet their largest bolt on turbo the black which is an 82mm compressor (GT35 territory) yanks are pulling 750+ "American hp" outta these badboys & 8 second passes (I think) So I guess it would be fine for anything upto GT35... Any bigger than that im not so sure.

Thanks - I was specifically looking at the HTA3582 or HTA3586.

Given that Forced Performance offer their comp housings up to the 3794 (90 lb turbo) I'm guessing they'd cope on either of the above turbos without issue.

Thanks for the tip off , never really liked those T04S housings for 71/73/76mm comp wheels .

Anyway the D in me headed over to FPs site and they show a different compressor housing middle lower pic in the GT3582HTA section . Me thinks Subies use clockwise rotation HTA turbos and thats where you'll find more pics of that comp housing . They call it 84mm FAP for flow advancement port (port shrouded) . 84mm works out to 3.307" or a tad under 3 5/16" . I guess 3 1/4 hose plus loob .

The "FAB" housing is optional from GT3076HTA up to GT3786HTA .

Anyway I can stop bitching and think this if I ever buy a 73/76 HTA .

A .

Don't ask lol

Mick has waiting a while...

Yeah its strange as mine arrived in less that a week from order, they built it within 48hrs and shipped the following day...

3 months - strewth!!

In an odd turn; recent Lithvertising resulted unprecedented sales at the FP warehouse.

Lith, if you have time, can you please tell everyone I need a $1 donation to fund my build? Nek minit Koenensegsensegsensseg.
