M35 Auto Gearbox Service

Can anyone give me some tips on servicing this box?

I've never done an auto box before, I just want to make sure I get all the old oil out.

Has anyone done a DIY on this before with success ?

Any help would be appreciated

You can't get all the fluid out without reverse pumping fresh fluid with a machine. Best way I have found is to do a shift kit at the same time, as that will change all but the 1L trapped in the torque converter.

Dropping the pan alone will only change 30% of the fluid.

I have a spare shift kit here if you want it...

Do the shift kit as Scotty said. I just had mine done over the weekend and man does it make a difference. Also I was blown away by how much fluid was trapped in the box still after the pan was dropped.
