Hello sau'ers,

I need some advice from the detailing guru's, About removing this old hard caked on wax/polish/dirt? from the paint around the exterior window trim.

It's been there for a while never really worried because it's very small but it is annoying.

I have tryed briefly to clay bar it. But I think I need somthing to break down/soften it a little. Not really sure don't want to make things worse.

Tell me what you think

firstly I would tape off the window weather strip with some masking tape

then apply some motospray prep wash on the wax / dirt (not large amounts) and leave it for a few minutes

then use a some paper towel to remove the dirt

if paper towel is not sturdy enough use a plastic scraper but do it very gently and it should then come off
