Want Cruise Control?

Just a quick note on Cruise Control installs.

I've had an electric cruise control in the stagea for about 7 years now, and it has been excellent. However, when I changed to the forward facing plenum and moved the throttle I didn't bother hooking it back up again.

Now I'm driving the stag to Canberra each week I decided I needed the cruise hooked up again, so I called the guy who installed it on the number from his old card. Surprisingly, I got the same bloke, Nigel, and he was happy to come out and fix it (nice and cheap too).

So this is just a quick recommendation....if you are thinking about getting cruise control installed (or didn't know you even could), give Nigel at Cruise Control Specialists a bell. His number is zeo four 18 116 404. An electric cruise system will set you back $780 for dash mounted or $850 for stalk mounted like I have.

Nigel was professional, courteous, tidy and careful with the install, and the repair he did for me was cheaper than estimated. Can't ask for more than that

The control unit is the black box mounted neatly out of the way in the corner of the engine bay. Cable runs to the throttle body

yeah i need this for my r34 and s14, its probably the biggest thing I miss from my old car.

and got my first speeding fine ever a couple of months ago driving to melb, where i would normally have set cruise control

BTW, it's worth adding just changing to cruise control dropped my fuel usage from 15/100 to 13/100.

Since I'm doing 1000klm per week at the moment it should pay off pretty quick.

Ah the ol' cruise control! Couldn't live with out it! And I'm doing the same sort of kays as Duncan is and I can't count the number of times it has saved my license (And no, I'm not illiterate you smart asses!)

Will see how my new R33 goes on the drives to Canberra and may have to give ol' Nigel a call.

Im running from the southern highlands to Erskine park every day for work haha!

Costing me 1/2 a tank a day, cruise control would definitely assist somewhat.

sorry for the slow response; I am not sure what his area is, but he is mobile.

I'm sure he could do it an Erskine Park, he did the original install for me in the carpark at work one day!

Im getting a unit installed in the 34 next week, but getting someone local as I cant really get to Sydney to get it done, will see how they go. They did a great job with my car alarm a while back so I trust them to not screw it up

Here's my go at it on my daily R33 !

Switches on the steering wheel operate it with the left side SET/COAST and the right side ACC/RESUME.
