thats a nice big shopping list.

Just out of curiousity, what sort of wheel studs/nuts do you use? has the track on the front or rear been widened?

rear has been narrowed, front has been widened with wheel spacers, ARP wheel studs.

Curious what clamps most people are using? Looking at purchasing some of these on the link below, anyone has any feedback please jump in.

Great your addressing this... Better then silicone hose and clamps!

Ruined a couple of track days bc hoses would split and clamps would come off!

Similar to yours... First time using them...just bc rep comes in every week.

I agree, thanks for your link Steve. So 21 days to finish the build and not sure how it will happen, things to do still...

Cryogenically freeze engine parts which will take a few days then put it together, add dry sump, waiting for throttle bodie and plenum to arrive, wire up the car, attach side skirts, fabricate cooler piping, finish off dash, maybe add fuel cell to boot, rear diffuser, lengthen exhaust, replace all bearings, extend jacking points, change suspension and alignment, add sponsor logos etc etc etc as this is half the things required. Busy weeks ahead.

Sounds like my list from last year. Compressing the work into a narrow time frame makes very hard work! Good luck mate. What event are you hoping to make to test or a PI open day?

The VPW seem reasonable quality. I have not put them to the test re big pressures or anything but those OBX-Pegasus ones out of the US are a bit...well didnt trust them. Either take a punt with VPW or go the whole hog and just by the genuine Wiggins clamps. Plazmaman now do their own version as well and may be an option...perhaps sponsorhsop ?

Thanks mate, at this stage not sure when the car will be done. There's on track events on the 16 July, might even take it to Winton just for a cheaper open practice day shakedown is probably a smarter bet as there's always issues with a new build.

I've read only positive feedback for the Pegasus but not from people running big boost or trustworthy sources. Will give vpw a call when I return from Hong Kong, as I don't know much about their clamps or people that have used them either. Steve ka if you are reading this who recommended the vpw clamps and have they used them in the past without issues?

Hey Steve,

Loving the hype you've created for wtac from Vic ;)

Double checked with Brad and had a good look at the design of the clamps today. Pretty much a rip off of the wiggans clamps. Maybe Brad can put some pics up if u ask him as I didn't get a chance to take pics. He was working on all the piping today

It's about time, we're bringing Victoria with us this year, not only does Victoria want the title but it has to be a skyline....no more evo's lol.

I've had a look at the clamps and I'm sure they should be fine, it's just nice to hear someone else has had success with em, as you don't want something as a clamp to ruin the event. If brad has used them in the past then its all good. Cheers steve.

Those clamps look like a good copy of the Wiggins clamps that Brad from Pro Fabrications uses. They work very well and cope with higher pressures than normal joiner hoses but you have to have to tubing aligned correctly.

Thanks victory.

And Steve, lol not those kind of late nights. Erotic nights business owner is a passionate motor sport fan and a perfect way to target the demographics for the business, without each and every sponsor we would not be able to compete at world time attack. The car that was may have been quick, but the new build is taking it to the next level.

Looking at a spare set of wheels 18x10.5 +22 offset, what's cheap and light, any ideas? Would love another set of te37's , they weigh bout 8.8kg but there not cheap. Looking at these work emotion cr kiwami weighing in at 11.1kg for $1850. Do you think these would look ok on the car in bronze?

Update progress report.........um, yeah, slow. Checked out my clutch we were using and it seems fine, twin plate and In very good condition. Wonder if a triple plate will be needed for the power we are running.

Tripple plate I know someone who has one cheap. LOL
