Good advice! Cops were in mass numbers yesterday arvo in preperation! The 34 was placed in the garage and that is where it will stay until Texi!

This morning from Springwood to Earlwood...

* 4 Cop cars a) 1x at GWH Valley Heights b) 3x GWH Blaxland

* 4 Cop Cars along the M4 too - spread all over the place

So 8x within 70Kms

Anyone would think that the state gov't needs $$$

Well if they stopped farking spending it on 11ty cop cars to defect innocent victims then they would have more to farken spend

LOL useless politically incorrect rant :D

haha they are in force alright!

pulling over cars in peak hour traffic along Victoria Rd this morning at West Ryde - indicating them to pull into the side street

It was weird - The officer kept picking up his traffic cone.... hiding behind the corner. Then running back out with his sign and cone - Dropping it then indicating which car he wanted to turn in.

It provided many laughs as i sat and watched for a while :)

Wasnt that deemed illegal after the guy got killed? Arent they meant to have fluro disco lights and gear on to be allowed to wave you in?

3 cop cars pulling over bus lane users on Victoria road last night near marsden road west bound

4 cop cars pull over idiots who fail to turn left into shaftsbury ave off vic road this morning east bound

line up for tickets to both events were 7-8 cars each.

Sucked in to them I say. Every day I see this get abused, regularly see the same plates do it too.

They need to be out there more often for these arsehats, their actions cause the very traffic they are trying to skip around.

in the Midas they put an unmarked blue commonwhore who watches the people not turning left, radio's to the other guy who then pull's them in to the "RBT" station. Seen it 2-3 times in the last 2 years.

Other times he'll chase them himself, almost saw the copper die one day when he "forgot" to put his lights on and ran the red.

It's setup as an RBT station. I was lead to believe the law you thinking about is for radar usage. ( I could be spectacularly wrong though )

The HWP at Valley Heights this morning was lying in wait at the side of the BP in a No Stopping zone.

Daleo's wife has a story to tell about this extraordinary behaviour.

Correct!

Interested to hear this one!

Ahh i turn off Shaftsbury onto Viccy - Didn't even notice him haha

More often then not i will just ride the pushy to work - I can cruise West Ryde to Gladesville in 15- 20 min depending on pedestrian traffic lights ( no way in will i ever ride on the road, they can give me all the fines they want)

Bad traffic is a 30min mind numbing experience that i cant comprehend

Traffic rant end/

True Terry; the Police guidelines regarding speed enforcement clearly state that their vehicle MUST be positioned ON the roadway where they are doing enforcement, yet repeatedly they hide their vehicles in side streets to avoid line of sight, and potential loss of revenue due to people seeing them, noticing they are speeding and slowing; thus reducing revenue. They also sit in the turning lanes on the centre island through Blaxland shops on GWH.

Rather ironically the guidelines were introduced after many public complaints about questionable behaviour, and an emerging cynicism about the true motives of speed enforcement.

They regularly park illegally (within 3 metres of an intersection and blocking the footpath) on a street corner near our house. It actually looks like they are getting ready to pull out onto the GWH, but they never do.

It shits me to tears, because if you did happen go around them, and they were in a mood; they could easily fine you. :domokun:

My partner pulled up behind them and waited with her blinker on (with the officer waving her around the HWP car), until the officer actually got out and came back to her car. The officer told her to move on, and she actually told him he was parked illegally, unsafely & was blocking the intersection. :woot:

He got back in his car & left.

Later that week she was on foot with our young son, and there he was again; same guy, blocking the footpath, so she knocked on his window and asked him if he thought it was safe or legal to park so close to the street corner, and completely block the footpath to a mother with a small child.

Asked if he thought it was a good example to set to a young boy? I think the penny dropped and he realised who she was and moved on yet again.

Every time they are sitting there, she pulls up behind them; every time they leave. She thinks it's hilarious.

NO FARKIN' WAY am I gonna try it. :whistling:

It takes me 1h 20min to do the 27km trip to work / home

I have no option unless I do a 2 train & 2 bus trip, or a 3 bus trip.

Same; my commute would take 2.5 hours each way on public transport, versus 50- 70 min by car.

Also, it would cost $20 p/w more in train & bus tickets than driving.

No brainer.

Cant stand people on public transport so i drive everywhere  BUT we is country folk up here, unlike you Sydney siders with your million cars in one street! :P

    • I know this one’s the BB one. My tuner did make mention about the actuator. I am curious about the VCT as well
    • Might also needs a stronger actuator with the right preloading. With older 2019 built bush G3 units, BB upgrade or 21U housing down size makes a pretty decent gain in response as well.
    • Hey lads  so im finally putting together my rb30 forged bottom end and ran into an issue. I measured my main bearing clearance with arp main studs torqued to 60 ft-lbs using ACL H series STD size bearings and standard, un-ground crank shaft journals and got an oil clearance reading of about 1.3 thou measuring straight up and down and about 2.8 thou measuring at a 45 degree angle (just above and below the parting line). My machine shop said they measured the main tunnel and it was all within spec (they didnt say the actual measurement) and to go with a standard size bearing, which i have done and the clearance is too tight, I'm guessing because of the extra clamping force from the arp studs distorting the main tunnel. I was wanting to run about 2.5 thou main bearing clearance.  My questions are: 1. could i just use the HX extra 1 thou clearance ACL bearings? that would fix my straight up and down clearance making it about 2.3 thou, but then would the side to side clearance be too big at around 3.8 thou? 2. what actually is the recommended main bearing clearance for measuring near the parting line / side to side. i know its supposed to be bigger as the bearing has some eccentricity built into it but how much more clearance should there be compared to the straight up and down measurement? at the moment there is about 1.5thou difference, is that acceptable or should it be less? 3. If i took the engine block + girdle back to the machine shop and got them to line bore the main tunnel (like i told them to do the first time, but they said it didnt need it) what bearing size would i buy? the STD size bearing shells already slide in fairly easily with no real resistance, some even falling out if i tip the girdle up-side-down. If im taking material out of the main tunnel would i need a bearing with extra material on the back side to make up for it? this is probably confusing af to read so if something doesn't make sense let me know and ill try explaining in a different way. My machine shop doesn't come back from christmas break until mid January, hence why i'm asking these questions here. TIA for any help or info
    • I bought the model back in Japan in Feb. I realised I could never build it, looked around for people who could build it, turns out there's some very skilled people out there that will make copies of 1:1 cars or near enough. I'm not really a photo guy... but people were dragging me in a group chat for the choice of bumper as someone else saw the car before it was finished as they are also a customer of that shop. I took the photo in the above post because I was pretty confident that the lip would work wonders for it. Here's some more in-progress and almost-done pics. It gives a good enough idea as to what the rear looks like!   I have also booked in a track day at the end of January. Lets all hope that is nothing but pure fun and games. If it's not pure fun and games, well, I've already got half an engine spare in the cupboard
    • Well, do ya, punk? Seriously though, let's fu<king go! The colour and kit looks amazing on the car. Do you have any shots from the rear? I don't quite follow how the model came around. You bought the white kit and he modified it to match your car? Looks nuts either way!
