Hey Guys.

Has any had any experience of mikes dynos. Ive seen a few cars go through there including my friends type r integ but that aint finished yet so i dont know how good he is. i know he builds hot rods and cop cars and of lately almost nothing but jap cars of various assortments. Im thinking of going 2 mikes for a strengthened rebuild of my motor... basically i want forged pistons and some h - beams to strengthen the internals for a turb upgrade. So im wondering if any 1 has had 1st hand experience and who else would you recommend to rebuild an rb26. Also ...... should i stay twin turbs with hks 2340's or go single turb with a GT40?? .. decisions decision?..

cheers. Calv

Or if you want to save bucks, remember to shop around the aussie dinosaur engine builders. To get the power some of them make they are obviously doing something right, and an engine is an engine, and they are low cost mostly. I would immediately recommend Duggans balancing in reservior as a starter, but you will porobably have to provide the engine already removed. Then shop around for tuning when it's in and running safe.

I've heard good things about "Eric Engineering" which is basically one guys at Hyper Tech who used to work for Gibson Motorsport on the R32 GTR's.  Apparently he's the best around and is located in Vermont, Melbourne.  This is all just hearsay, anyone actually dealt with Eric?

That ex Gibson mechanic is meant to be farkin expensive tho.

There are so many turbo options with the Rb26, do a search and u will find results with all the different combos around

Thanks for the feedback.

I know of hyper tech and Eric. Also heard the same that his pretty exp and pretty darn good at fiddling with gtrs. I know ill be eating 30cent noodles for the next 4 years if i went there for a full rebuild. As tempting as it sounds to eat 30cent noodles i might just go there and get it tuned and running properly wif a power fc or a motec once the rebuild is done. Think i might stick 2 mikes for a rebuild.

One last question .... the other alternative to a rebuild was to get another rb26. I know of an engine with unknow internals but on the outside has tomei fuel lines, cams, oil cooler, catch can, braided lines, some hybrid twin turbs. Its still sitting in the car and ive driven it... goes haaaaaaaaard. cars being pulled apart so i was thinking of getting that engine plus gearbox (hks short shifter) and the rollcage. All those parts 2 gether is going to cost alot more then getting mikes 2 rebuild but ive driven that car and boy does that car make you smile. wouldnt mind that as a daily driver.

It is all just ******. I have heard nothing but *** reports coming out of *** (****) shop. I really want to talk to the one guy who keeps reccommending this guy.

Too *******, too ********, too this, too that. ooohohhh i worked for Gibson and thats going to cost you your ****....**************

Basically everyone who goes to ****, ends up going to ben at racepace motorsport and then realises they have just wasted 30k on low mount turbos and a shitty power fc tune.

Just dont expect your hand controller back, because your '**** tune' will be so good, ** wont want you to **** with it.

Ben is the dude for engine builds, Ice performance are the dudes for tuning. though ben can do that too.

Please do not delude yourself that **** is worth the money. there are other much better alternatives.
