Hi guys,

I recently got a 2003 300gt with about 54k km on it, all pretty solid so far. One interesting thing i noticed is a wiff of coolant coming out of the vents when the heater comes on with a low fan setting. If it the heater is on but with a high fan setting/flow then the smell goes away (doesn't smell without the heater when using A/C). I am wondering whether it is the core, or just whether perhaps the first thing to try replacing is the microfilter. I haven't checked the Coolant level yet, but that is next on the agenda as well. Guess I don't want to go overboard as the heater core looks to be connected with the A/C and therefore a PITA to replace, but has anyone had a similar experience and should i just try replacing the Microfilter?
