Motorsport - Gauges

Hey all,

Starting my track car build.

What gauges would you recommed, ie not brands but what to moniter.

Im thinking

- Boost

- Water Temp

and

- Oil pressure

Any others that people think are needed?

And im thinking old defis, white or black faced style or something along those lines.

and just on a side note, while people are reading.

Ive removed the dash from the car and only thing ive left is the metal bar that runs behind it.

Would most events look down on not running a dash at all? ie just leaving the metal bar showing? iwas thinking of putting padding over it like you would a roll cage etc

Oil Temp gauge.

(Very important) along with the others you have mentioned.

Oh yer fair point.

Will be using the power fc for speed and revs

most important=

oil temp: you dont want oil exceeding 130degC

oil pressure: if you ever have an oil leak, the pressure will start dropping - good to know before you run out of oil and dammage internals.

By the time you spend all the money on gauges you could possibly be better off with a digital dash (depending on what ECU you are using)

Yep they are fine! Had them out at the Texi event and they were good all day!

Pretty damn bright at night too!
