Take your word for it Track goers ^

So the evo in front has full reign to do as they please (i.e own the track). His line appeared to change to rapidly on an acute angle.

It appeared to me at first glance the silver Evo has made a drastic turn in (lunge) to make the corner or block

(from the vid it looks as if had he carried on that line he would end up on the grass inside the track).

The vehicle behind was too close to the inside and would overshoot on the way out of the corner.

One under and one over - hence causing the intersect

Thats wrong. It is not a race meet. It is a club sprint. Contact is unforgivable and overtaking should only be on the straights or when indicated by the front car. Of course nobody meant that to happen but you have to accept your mistake and make sure as sh1t it never happens again.

Looking at a FB link and discussion, if these vids are all the same driver....The guy needs to seriously look at how aggressive he is. You can forgive one mishap bt he is a serial offender! If someone knows this guy sit him down and tell him its not his track and it is not a race. He is not a race car driver. Its a club sprint and each other car needs to be given loads of space. Even if he has a full PC licence it means nothing, these are not race meets

I hope the OP reads this and accepts his attitude needs to change. Even if they are all different drivers they are all guilty of the same thing. Contact is not excusable and you need to give everyone enough room and only pass on the straights.

I'm getting my cams license and want to start tracking for fun, and this sort of shit worries me, it makes me think my car is too slow and someone will get pissed off and come too close.

But EC and WP both have a no pass in corners rule I think

For the earlier comment about both drivers at fault:::

Sorry mate but i disagree, yes the drivers are responsible for the damage but the accident was caused by one of them not both.

If the overtaking car didnt drive like a tool and simply waited after the turn to overtake then the whole accident would have been avoided. He was in control of the situation with full visibility.

In terms of the silver evo, nothing could have been done to avoid the accident other than the assumption that he would have checked all 3 mirrors and a blind spot before taking his own race line and even if he did see the overtaking car and kept to the outside of the turn, there would have been every chance that the dooshbag hero would have still understeered into him anyways on the way out.

Oh wow. This guy has issues if he thinks he's in the right here too!

camera car at fault imo......he would have been out of the silver cars mirrors look at the line he was taking.

I wouldn't have waited to get back to the pits to kick his head in!!!! Sand traps are soft so It would be a lot easier to hide the body!!!

Neither was at fault, it happened on a race track, each driver is responsible for their own damage.

Like Pete said, it does deserve a punch up in the pits though. And whoever was running the day did not brief and monitor their drivers properly.

+This , the fact is, don't track it unless you can afford to lose/repair it, racing is dangerous and accidents can and do happen. However Duncan makes good point about the driving briefing but the dude may have chosen to ignore as he is driving like a douche for circuit sprints, so the option is this...

Do we know who he is? Because I want to make sure I never go out on track with him....

Would definitely be going Nascar style on him in the pits....

And given the other videos that are coming out... It seems like the dude is clearly has no idea how to behave on a circuit...

So highly likely that it was all clearly explained in Driver Briefing, only to fall on the deaf ears of this guy who simply, can't drive.

Off line and behind the other car, I think it's fairly clear who is in the wrong.

Not nice and the camera car driver needs to sort his attitude out, if you get blocked on a fast lap take your time pass the person on the next straight and then set up for a quick next lap.

And I am a complete liability which is why I always try to find my own space to go crazy on. Traffic management is a very hard thing to learn. I only ever started to think to understand how much of a science it was when I drove a car with no hp and good handling. You can drive close to your best lap times even with traffic if you learn to read their pace and be a little analytical with where you catch them. An ealy lift and brake early so not to crowd each other under brakes so you can get your usual corner speed and exit will likely lose you less then a second.

Its hard to do but fun learning how to do. Avoids accidents and a useful tool if you do want too race and need to be able to lap slower cars without losing time over the duration of the race

    • January or Feb is it booked in for turbo fitment?
    • The MX5 has had some annoying rattles in both front doors over bumps So I installed fancy pants door bushings, which stopped all of the rattles with the windows up, but........with the windows down there was still rattles, so after some googling,  and a chat with MX5 Mania, I got some new door to glass weather seals, all the rattles, windows up, or down, are gone now Shout out to MX5 Mania, the weather seals were on sale, and when I head to Dural to pick the up they even fitted them for me for free I did see a "really" nice Blue NA sitting out front   and this Black NC PRHT that looked like it has sat in the sun for its whole life and never had a wash, the clear coat was non-existent, an it looked horrible, really horrible, but, it had a nice turbo kit with over 200kw, the thing went like a cut snake, bagging the rears through the gears and dosing like a champ 😍 But, as I've always stated, I am keeping my NC na, I'm happy with the current power the car makes In other news: MX5 Mania do a drive in drive out turbo kit, the only minor additional part recommended for boosting my car, as it sits now, is a oil cooler, and that bonnet vents are definitely required for track use Aftermarket version look a bit to "racecar" spec I wonder how Focus RS bonnet vents would look?????
    • Paint is only structural when applied to the outside of Chinese and Indian cars. Otherwise it should never be present between mechanical joints that were intended to be metal to metal. Pain slips, slides, cracks, compresses, and add thickness that wasn't intended to be there. It comes firmly under the category of "just no".
    • appreciated it thanks   There are threads on the adaptor. I rear re anodising but didn’t know it will reduce strength   re mating services needing to be flat/ not painted, why would that be?
