It's real hard to find the correct fan clutch for RB20 and 25. I went through this a little while ago, although I had bought Dayco clutches and there is no cross reference between that one and the Davies Craig 5265 (which is odd, but forget about that for a moment).

Basically, the brand new Dayco ones would lock up at waaaay too low a temperature and so make a lot of noise, use a lot of fuel and slow the car down. Horrible. I ended up using a secondhand original RB25 clutch. If I was to buy a brand new one, I would definitely get a genuine one next time.

There's a lot of useless twaddle in my thread about the radiator. Ignore it. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/418116-fan-clutch-shenanigans-any-clues/

Yeah genuine new Nissan clutches seem to be the only go. But at over $500 a pop, they are damn expensive.

Try Amayama; they are much more reasonably priced, if you can wait a week or so.

$201 is a much better price; add $30ish for delivery.

the one for $201 is from the UAE, 20-30 days delivery

from japan $435 with 10 day wait.

I should've just got the standard one from Nissan at the start I guess.

ill give Nissan a ring and see how much they are. I will pay the money to get rid of that shocking noise.

the davies craig clutch is louder than my other 1.

cheers for your input guys!

I have found that is the "worst case scenario" on delivery time; they generally arrive quite quickly.

When you email for a price including shipping; they will also revise the lead time.

Give them a go; if all you are worried about is the noise (rather than imminent engine damage through overheating); why not wait & save a couple of hundred?

I guess you have a point there.
so the link you posted to before was the correct part number?

Sorry mate; that one is actually the SR20 fan clutch.

Below is a link for the R33 RB25det fan clutch.

I would advise so you are 100% sure, that you go into the listings and confirm it for yourself.

This is the page I got to the fan price from; you can clearly see the make/model of the car, but check for yourself.
