(03/05/13) I've just had the car in at Protek where I had the handbrake fixed, gearbox leak (rear extension housing) fixed, Engine and gearbox oil change, and roadworthy inspection ($884). I've also just added 6 months registration ($290) ***(14/06/13) Car just has just had front left hub replaced, and all roadworthy issues addressed.

The body is pretty straight, with the odd small bump here and there. The car has been resprayed at some stage and looks pretty good when clean. There is however some area where the clear coat has blistered. The roof has completely lost it's clear coat. The boot and rear A-pillar have also a blistered quite bad and theres a small patch on the rear quarter. I've also just added a MY99 grill and spoiler, and these have just been quickly rattle canned black. I could organise paint repairs/colour matching for about $700.

      The problem with FB/Insta/Reddit etc comments relating to cars is simple. You get to ask a question once, and get one round of replies. For things that can actually be answered in a few lines of text, once, it's fine. After 6 hours, your original question is lost to the void. There are no follow ups, additional questions, anything. No project car is ever such a simple list of questions to ask. You need discussion.

      Welcome.  Here's what I have noticed about forum vs FB..... FB; seems to be wallet racing, and the same few questions asked over and over. There *may* be some groups that are closer knit, but most have changed for the worse. SAU; unfortunately, no longer in its glory days. But....genuine people with similar interests. Not all about how much you spent and saying you dont have enough power. Sooooooo much knowledge available. Have personally seen people post up about literally topics I made myself, asking on FB like no one has done it before. Most has been done, and most of that is here.   If you ever feel like just general chatting theres the wasteland.  Other interests are also generally covered in other areas of the forum.
