Yeh they do, but think I would rarher get a new turbo first

Good plan! As for fabbing up a FFP, there was one just posted recently in the Build Thread section, i think it was the 2 guys with the 32, go have a look and get some feedback from them?

Its a bit of a vicious circle, to get to 300 kw I will need a new turbo, then probably need a hi mount exhaust manifold, then because of that rework the intake pipework. Just have to work out the best order to buy it all in so I can keep adding to the setup as I go.

To get 300kw you will need a turbo that will do the job, to get 300kw you will NOT need a hi mount exhaust manifold... You can just run the setup like many have in the past!

Be nice if I didnt have to, looking at getting a hypergear ATR43 SS2 BUT Stao said 280kw is the max from standard ex manifold and internal gate.

So run a bigger turbo on the standard manifold and external gate? I know the Kando boys etc were doing it in that thread? I am sure you can make 300kw low mounted! AND if you want to go aftermarket manifold you will find mobs like 6Boost and Brae make low mount manifolds too (Look at ANGRYRBGTX build thread)... But once again if you dont want to spend $1000 on an intake plenum then I assume you wont want too on an Exhaust manifold either?

It's reaching the limits of the stock exhaust manifold... On 98 at least... ;)

Not that you would notice 20kw less.

I was waiting for you too chime in ;) Fair enough hehe

Well if I go exhaust manifold I will definately see a big improvement for money spent wheras it may not be so significant or needed to for the plenum to hit my goal of 300kw.

Not saying I wont put a FFP on, just need to prioritize my purchases.

dunno what GTS kid just said but look at the GTR, those clever little engineers at Nissan designed the forward facing plenum and that didn't cause "uneven air distribution" as he described.

I agree don't chop it tho, leave it or get a good greddy copy instead

RB26 and RB25 plenums are totally different, if you see on the RB25 there are guides that channel the air from the side into each cylinder, where as a RB26 doesn't have that.

GTS has a very valid point & reason.

My 2cents, people who chop stock plenums are morons.

Both the ffp and aftermarket exhaust manifold will see you defected instantly the minute the bonnet is popped, why not lean on the stock gear as much as possible, you will get to your goal and still look stock if you choose parts correctly.

fuark that's a sexy engine bay LOL.. too bad that cam cover is now matte black :)

I read on the forums somewhere that they weren't in Qld
