Hi guys, was wondering on a rough power estimate someone could give me on my new set up before it gets tuned.. Im hoping for around 350-400 im hoping this is possible (rb25 det)

Mods include:

Apexi power fc

Arp head studs

Slide industries gt35r turbo kit

Z32 afm

Turbosmart afpr

Bosch 750cc inj

Excedy h/duty clutch

Split fire coil packs

Hks fuel rail

Greddy plenum

Bosch 044 (x2) fuel pumps

3l surge tank

Cometic head gasket

Avcr boost controller

Any advice would be appreciated :),keep in mind this is a fairly standard engine and im new to the forced induction world (355 stroker man) cheers heaps :)

350kw should be attainable (470whp).

the trick is making sure you have no boost leaks and have the right size pipes from air filter to muffler tip.

please check out the RB25 dyno thread, a few minutes read will answer this question.

welcome to the dark side.

Result will be the same as any other GT35 setup really, it's the turbo that will dictate the power as long as the exhaust can flow.

Things like a fuel rail, FPR - don't give power, in fact they don't even offer much of anything. On a stock motor, overall, risky business pushing towards 400rwkw

Also you might find the clutch wont last too long as something else to budget for.

You'll find that patience will help a great deal. Hang back a couple of months and read all the popular threads in this section (just keep an eye on the first page and passively read whatever comes up).

After a couple of months you'll be a lot more confident in your parts selection and how to set things up.

Probably the best read for you right now is the Kando dynamic thread. It shows what a stock RB25 can get away with when you set up a reasonable turbo.

Enjoy and feel free to PM if you feel your getting lost.

Thanks so much i really appreciate it.. Everythings bolted on just need to find someone to tune it now :)

A good tune is critical - post up your location and you might get pointed to a tuner who knows his stuff (and RBs).

Grafton nsw :)

Damn that is tricky, i dont know any RB tuners anywhere close to you but hopefully one of the other guys will have some input!

Best to hire a trailer and go for a trip to see the banana benders up north :)

Lol all class!

Was told matt spry from pitts on the goldy is the go when it comes to tuning :) am just about to go pick up a good set of axles and springs and im a make me a trailer ;)

Have heard that name bouncing around before! Lucky basterd having the skills/tools to make a trailer :woot:
