R32 Owners: Where Do You Mount Your Aftermarket Hid Ballasts?

Hi All,

Most aftermarket ballasts these days seem to be of a similar size and shape.

I've thought of a few different mounting options, but none are really "ideal". Just wondering what the general consensus is in regards to placement?

Pics may be useful if you have them handy.

Stick them anywhere. Mine are: driver's side - crammed between battery and bottle, passenger side - under the airbox.

Also, do a retrofit

Put them just on the side of the inner wheel arches close to the lights but not too close as they the HID's do heat up quite bad.

Kit should come with brackets and cable ties.

R33 here but I mounted mine in and around the rear. Hidden away so you cant see them. Have a photo somewhere

ahhh. mine did not come with brackets etc. Only the ballast has 4 holes for screws - something for future buyers to look for if they decide to purchase aftermarket HID kits....

Got the mini ballasts in black and tuck them away on the side of the inner wheel arches.

Sorry must not have been paying attention. Mine are mounted in and around the front reo bar
