Also i didnt want to start a massive debate over that comment but i did an aftermarket fuel pump replacement when i had my 33, had the bosch 040 put in and it didnt raise pressure all i wanted to know was what a good option for the 34 was.

Nismo drop in. Or a e85 400lph walbro will do the job Thetis drop in models for skylines on eBay for around $200ish. There is a 450-460lph version swell that's drop in. You may as well go a e84 friendly one for the future. :)

Cheers josh

pretty sure the e85 pump is not drop in. I have one, it is in but took some mods as it is a fair but bigger than the actual drop in pump, and it draws heaps more current.

I know the nismo pump is 100% drop in. The e85 460lph walbro make not be direct drop in but it is a intank fuel pump still. And still can be a drop in with a bit of basic mucking around. So yes it is a drop in fuel pump still as if drops into the tank. Just not a DIRECT drop in as the nismo pump is. keep in mind though the walbro is basically hAlf the price of the nismo.

Cheers Josh

Don't use the 040, the filter is prone to clogging and it is an old clunky design.

The Walbro 460L is overkill if you aren't tuning the car, even a Walbro 342 is more than you need, only costs $100, but still requires hard wiring the power.

I would be keeping the stock pump until you decide to tune it.

Chunky yes... I dont know why people use the 040 over the 044 as i ran an 044 with barb on the end and the original style fuel sock on the bottom of the tank, should solve that clogging issue... Worked perfectly and surprisingly wasn't loud! I blamed it for my fuel issues but it ended up being the injectors! I still run that same pump today but its now in the boot due to the external setup.

What does a 040 flow and what's a 044 flow? Sweet f all compared to the new walbro's

A single 044 got me too 350kw on an intank setup! How much power do you want to make? lol

I've got a single 044 that has been made to be a drop in. From memory I had to modify my cradle to make it a drop in. I put that in probably 5 or so years back. If I were to do it today I'd just use a walbro e85 friendly pump. Well plans are for me to make 400kw if I can. So I'll need to upgrade my pump. If memory serves me right the 044 flows 300lph but I could be wrong. 5+ yrs back memory not so great from regular weekend alcohol abuse haha. I'm more than likely still going a hta 3076r or 3582r on my built 25. Unless stao can come up with something pretty similar. Prefer to support a local bloke if I can. But FP hta just seems the ducks nuts at the moment lol.

    • All I can say Duncan is good luck and I hope that Neil did not run any E85 in Cheryl. I have recently experienced the full spectrum of fuel tank issues in my R33's that had been caused by E85 and contaminated fuel. When you take the cover off the top of the tank and have a look inside you will get an understanding of how easy it will be. Best case situation is clean fuel with minimal contamination. My GTR was like this and it was a very simple operation to just grab the fuel pump carrier bracket and slide it up and out of the tank. My three GTS_T's had different levels of fuel contamination that was probably caused by E85 in the fuel.  In the worst case all of the metal components in the tank had rusted to the point where there were pieces of rusted metal swirling around in the tank. This required the removal of the exhaust, the tailshaft, the complete rear cradle and the fuel tank. The components in the tank were that rusted that it took days to get the fuel pump carrier and the mounting brackets out of the tank. When the tank was finally cleaned, everything inside the tank had to be replaced. With the tank all back together I could then reinstall it in the car along with everything else that had to come out. Good luck and I hope that you find a clean tank.
    • It is a two door. It is black and also still has the OEM wheels and stereo. Exact model would be KR_R32RGFEL_SS According to GTR-Registry.com is a 2 Door Coupe; RB20DE; 2WD no HICAS; MT.F5; (11L) Projector Headlamps and Fog Lights; (12_) Electronic Active Full Auto Air Con (Climate Control); (13-14SS) V Selection -- Which seems to be accurate description of my variant. Will try to upload a few pictures soon. The OEM wheels look like the below image. Image is taken from the goo-net-exchange website.

    • Welcome Gabriel. At least your car has a glorious RB and not the shitty CA18. As MBS206 mentioned all the good bits can be added later. Two doors or four?
    • And half of them have been converted to turbos.
