i just put in a working TPS from a DET NEO and now the problem is worse, is this because the TPS is different for the DET (ie its on the other side)?

so after all that chasing i just put 20ml of ignition cleaner in to 3/4 a tank and immediately as soon as i left the petty station i noticed the problem was gone, took it for a good drive and noticed nothing wrong and gave it a little rev in the driveway to see if it was jumping like before and nope clean revs all the way through!

im still unsure of why it was so instant, wouldn't it take a bit of driving to remove build up ect?

hopefully the problem doesn't return, im still going to reset the ecu and ill daily drive it for now just to see how it goes

Ignition cleaner in your fuel tank & only 20mls? Must be VERY strong stuff. I've been out of the car game for 7 years, but never heard of that stuff.

Who makes it?

Can you post a pic of the container please?

Curious...........

Have you tried to read ECU fault codes through the consult plug?

Injector cleaner. I'm not a fan of stuff like this UNLESS, it's been used since the car was brand new.

Injector cleaner/fuel system cleaner should be used on the basis of keeping things clean, rather than cleaning stuff out. Products like this will fill your injector baskets full of crap, & you'll end up having to pull your injectors anyway.

ive only used it once, it was more a test to see if the injectors would react to it at all. not the biggest fan either tbh

put the TPS off a RB20DE NEO in this morning and it cleared the problem straight away, the skyline is back to normal, finally!!
