Engine Numbers

Just curious as to what can be done with engine numbers

I have an RB20DET in a VL Calais, but have no clue what series rb it is, or what it is from. Is there any way to search the engine number to find out what it came from, or any info on it for that matter?

Also, where do I find the engine number ROFL

unlikely . . and you can be sure that nissan australia wont help with info on an import

from memory, passenger side of the engine, right at the back of the block (but still on the side). should start with RB20.

RB20DET's came in the R31 / R32 Skylines / Laurels / Cefiros.
