A recent thread got me thinking, Ive been avoiding a few trips because I know the stagea is pretty harsh on dirt roads, not only on me but also the car. Im currently running GTR shocks in the front and 225/50r16 tyres, so its pretty smooth road oriented.

However I was thinking of picking up some cheap steel 15/16' rims and fitting high profile tyres. Question is, how much can this compensate for the rest of the vehicle? Will 15' rims clear the brakes? Looks like they should...

Scared to take a normal road car on dirt roads? You know half the dirt roads in Australia are smoother than Parramatta road right?

I've got no issues taking my car up dirt roads and it's sitting on 19" rims with low profile tyres. Still handles it perfectly.
