Manual Conversion Rb20De Werd Things

hey guys,

brought a car that was half way finshed for a +t, got the engine running sweet as after a day. The seller had already done the manual conversion with an rb20det gbox! I know when doing this you need to remove the spigot berring from the auto engine, My question is what would hapin if he did not do this? would it still bolt up? The reason im asking is i cant get the slave to bolt up its to long even tho the slave is from my other car witch is rb0det gbox!

What do you guys think is going on im not really keen to drop the box as this is the 7th gbox change this year getting over it.

Yeah it'll bolt up. I think, since the shaft isn't sitting snugly it may wobble a bit. I didn't take the bush out on my R31, no issues, but the RB30E doesn't rev as high as RB20. I doubt there would be much damage, if any.

As for slave, it may be the wrong one.
