new symptoms

was running rough while driving, gave it a free rev and at 5k (wouldnt go past 5k) coughed and spluttered and then shut up, clutched out to start again and wouldnt start, pulled over, turned key and started was spinning but motor not cranking, left for 2mins, started up fine and ran fine again???????????????

Have you got laptop or commander for it?

yup have the hand controller in the glove box

Spark plugs (cracked) caused revving problem and wrong injector seals caused similar symptoms for me. Took ages to diagnose and lots of swearing.

will check plugs, someone also suggested a vac leak, maybe good idea to put smoke machine through it? can rule out vac leak and injector seals at same time

Pressure testing the intake would be a good idea, and check the vac lines to the fuel reg/map sensor if you are running one.

shall try get the smoke machine on it on the weekend and yeh has Turbosmart FPR

Well, in that case, there's a sensor check function on the commander. Just find it and use it.

will do tonight, thanks for that
