Hey just wanting to know how I can find out what year my car was imported into Australia

Take a look on the compliance plate for green type.

Or purple you can search for approved vehicle on raws website put your Vin in and it will display compliance information inc dates complied.

what type of import is it race ? or personal import yellow ? or something that shouldn't be here ?

It's an 89 r32 gtst the chassis number has the 6u9000 in front of it
