hey lads i have a r33 gtst that was running perfectly fine saturday and now blows alot of black smoke in idle on sunday

thinking it could be the MAF/air flow sensor ?

what voltages should the stock r33 airflow meter read at idle and wot and any help with colour code on the air flow would be great thanks

How old is your turbo?

Pull your intake pipe off and see if there is any oil in the front housing. Could be turbo seals.

Car will still boost and drive fine, will just blow some smoke at idle and decel.

Could be something else so eliminate all possibilities.

Lots of black smoke indicates excessive fuelling issue. All systems governing air/fuel mixture to be checked including OP's AFM as he has already suggested. Turbo seals blow white smoke.

Sorry have a z32 with Apexi PFC, so don't think giving you the readings would help. Let me know if you really want them.

If car was running fine Saturday, was there anything that had changed or become different since you last drove it?
