32 GTR centre console guages?

Hey guys,

I was just wondering, with the R32 GTR, whay size is the standard Boost guage.

Could I purchase an aftermarket one that is the same size and put it in place of the standard one?

I think they are 46 or 48mm.

Strange size, and you may not find a single gauge to put in to replace the boost gauge.

Probably why a lot of places sell replacement triple gauge sets.

so I'll probably have to buy just a single guage and mount it. oh well. just trying to avoid making wholes and putting extra things on the interior.

if someone wants to measure and find out for sure that would be great

MINES make one to fit in the standard postion goes up to 1.6 bar martin donnon had one in his old R32 GTR a couple of years ago from memory i think they were pretty rare and expensive.

don't like the sound of that. Rare and Expensive = pain in the behind

I'm just going to buy a guage like apex or Blitz guage and mounit it on the steering column I think

Defi make a single din 3 guage unit. A bit pricey like all Defi stuff but its very nice looking.

There's plans around on this forum on how to make your own din sized centre console for guages. Don't know how good the results are.

I also made my own out of a piece of scrap aluminium painted matt black. Not too hard. Just mounted a VDO boost guage in there for now.

I have asked a parts place to try and track down some Mines ones. they would be good. where di you get yours? or were they with the car

if I can't find it I'll just mount an electronic one somewhere in the cabin.

Yahoo Japan auctions, can't remember price as I got them a while back.

most sellers don't like dealing with foreingners though, you need to be able to contact the seller in japanese usually.

Why do you need too change the gauges??? do they have to be mechanical ones or the GTR ones just wont work on a gts-t?
