Double Sided Tape On Lights

Hi Guys

I bought a set of Lights for my GTT as my current ones are farked, they came with eye lids on them that i have removed using some fishing line and a bit of heat from a hair dryer. Now i am left with some double sided tape on the lights. What would the ppl in the know recommend i use to remove said tape without damaging my nice new shiny HID Xenon R34 lights.

I was thinking that but i was also told that it may cloud the plastic, have u used it on lights b4?

alcohol wipes then.

there's 3M adhesive remover, or a brand I use called Goo Gone. really effective, exactly what you are looking for

and test any product you get on your old lights plastic

I just got a product that was recommended to my by a friend called Orange power sticky spot and goo dissolver, will give this a go on the weekend, ill test it on the old lights 1st as thats a great idea, ill let u guys know if it works if not im going to have a look for the 3m remover cheers guys.

I have always preferred using something that's even stickier. ie...

Peel off as much tape as you can so you only have the sticky left, put some Gaffa tape on it and peel it off. Repeat, repeat, repeat til it's all gone.

I got it all off last night, wet the tape let it soak in and it came off under my nail, was kinda like a stickier version of blutac, after i got it off put a few drops of Orange power on a wet cloth so it was diluted and then went over the surface the tape was on.
