Nah mate got it done by a fabricator, don't trust myself with the welder enough yet! Was decked after being welded, only a few thou came off though. Nothing drastic enough to affect compression anyway.

Looks awesome. if you don't mind me asking how much did he charge you specifically for the head skim job? no idea how much this is worth

Total was $190 not sure exactly how much it was to get head skimmed. Will ask my fabricator next time i see him.

Looks like a nice job mate. Should give you plenty of room. I did the same as Ben and welded a bit extra on the front. Hopefully there's enough room when the 90• goes on

Has it been checked with the inlet manifold and Cam backing plate on?

Yep cam backing plate had to be cut a little to clear but that's not really an issue. And it just clears the FFP
