Pulled 122.5kg deadlift at 59kg

That's equivalent to you picking 2 of yourself up off the floor!

What people don't understand is how much easier life is to live when you are that strong to your own weight ratio you can do everything so much easier and go looking for heavy shit to pickup[emoji23]

Yep. I can easily lift things at work that the other females can't/won't.

Besides the physical positives, I feel happier within myself; I'm proud of my commitment and my mental strength!

It's also quite healing; I had chronic back problems before deadlifts. Now fixed. Takes the pressure off the spine when the muscles and posture are doing what they are supposed to!

Unfortunately I can't say the same, but maybe one day!

You will, yours is a bit of a different injury...the important thing is you're able to lift something and are doing it.

Good to see you back. :)

Thanks, away on holidays, got sick then injured my shoulder!

My focus from now on is not so much strength, more endurance style training. A couple of reasons for this; mainly though as I have a long term lower back injury due to the discs in my spine being too close together from lifting too heavy for too long with incorrect form. I've found that lighter weight aggravates this pain less, so you're going to be seeing lighter weights but more reps... I'm hoping this will give me more of a hypertrophy look as well, maybe Birds can jump in here as I'm not actually sure!

It's rehab with lighter weights; her injuries seem to respond better and deadlift and squat technique has improved a lot since doing the reset. The other reason is to give the body and muscles a rest and a different rep range to work with. I've done a couple of resets myself using high rep sets of low weight and, building up the weight each week, when I return to the lower rep weights I can knock out a few more than I used to.
