Hi fellas, Ive got a white 33 GTST and I'm getting these recurring spots which look like rust on top of my paint.
Sometimes they come off from a decent scrubbing when washed but they mainly have to be polished off.
They're relatively small and probably wouldn't show up on camera.
Its almost like metal flakes are floating around in the air and then settling on the car. Its generally only on bonnet and boot.

Any ideas on what I may be able to do to prevent this in future?

There is a product called Iron-X, and it's designed to deal with exactly what you describe.

It actually dissolves minute metal particles (from industrial fallout) that become lodged in your paint.

you need to give your white car some love.

you need a claybar to remove these iron containments.

after you wash your car use the soapy water as lube for the claybar. short back and forth motions, light to medium pressure.

knead or twist claybar once its dirty, if u drop it throw it away, i like to rip claybars in multiple pieces just in case.

then a light polish, and keep a good layer of wax on the paint after to prevent it from happening again
