4 cars at our home > one car has a python sytem - another has a viper system.

When the viper goes out, the python is happy > sleeps.

When the viper comes in, the python gets excited > goes off.

When the python is activated or deactivated, the viper sleeps.

When the viper is activated or deactivated, the python sleeps.

Anti-Troll says, there is no cobra involved. :P

Proof!

SAU had a cruise yesterday...

At the truck stop along Putty Rd....

* Bikes did not set it off

* Even Harleys did not set it off

* EVOs did not set it off

* R33 GT-Rs did not set it off

* R34 GT-Ts did not set it off

* Nor did VW Golf TDi, Sylvias, GTsTs

* Not even a R34 GT-R V-Spec

*** A R34 GT-R V-Spec II Nur SET IT OFF-F-F-F!!! It also has an N1 engine > so is it a particular frequency?

    • Yeah, well, it's not as though anyone is ever going to buy one of those noisy f**kers and put it into a new installation when there are better pumps that are near silent for less money from Ti.
    • I'd suggest having the engine builder listen to it, especially if they assembled it, and minimise how much you run it in the meantime. It may have a serious issue like a big end bearing from the description and I assume the rebuild was not cheap
    • Quite right, typing without checking, it is an 023 which was effectively the replacement for 040 (not that I could find either of them on the Bosch motorsport AU site), and it has a mesh inlet at the bottom of the pump rather than a separate filter
    • Hmm. I should have thought of the clutch bleeding issue. It should be #1 thought for "can't select gears". As to "sounds like the top".....have you actually gone out with the stethoscope and tried to pin it down any more than that? And, buy or borrow a timing light, and set the timing properly.
    • I donโ€™t really have any ideas how to set the timing on the CAS ๐Ÿ˜‚, sounds like the top, sounds like it maybe misfiring as well as ticking,ย  got the box sorted ๐Ÿ˜Œ, must of been a air bubble on the clutch side
