Wondering if anyone has experienced this.....

Got the factory bose audio in my sedan - as im driving the left side speakers randomly cut out.... im thinking loose wire behind the dash? Any one else experienced this before i pull it out to troubleshoot?

For F@! Sake!! Thats annoying!!

I never realised that it only does it on CD - but now that you mention it i think your right, it only does it on CD's

The only station i can listen to at the moment in melbourne is 89.9 as is havent installed my frequency expander yet......

Questions:

Can it be fixed - or not worth it?

What are my after market options that will work with all factory speakers and sub, and steering wheel controls?

kolossus - if i cant do any of the above how much do you want for it? and is it from an 05?

Chris, whats the cost to fix it? Is it something i can do, or is it a electronics expert type of repair?

If i was to go aftermarket, id want a dvd single din player and hook it up to the aux input on the factory screen. Any units known to work well that others have used? Bluetooth would be handy too....

Im going to need a new facia arent i? Where do i get that from... ?

    • The way they do the test you would be very lucky to ever hit any cell that isn't aiming at 14.7 This was my result... Really not sure what's going on there!
    • I have a projecta one.  A proper trickle charger can be left attached 24x7, that's what the trickle bit is about.
    • With an electronic boost controller, there are settings available to limit overboost.
    • Ah ok, my tuner did adjust something on the percentage cycle on the boost controller, instead of running at 40% the tuner put it on 20% to compensate for the overboost, can't remember what it was. Not duty cycle don't think, and told me if it keeps overboosting, it's going to be something else. I think he mentioned the turbo actuator.
    • Which trickle charger does everyone use? I'm going on holidays in the future, and last time it was left for a couple weeks off twice per time, and don't want to keep doing it to damage my battery so looking to have something hooked up to the battery which connected to the car, as I need to keep my immobiliser system on. If the battery goes flat it will mess up my security system (already happened once) I was looking at the following, so can have someone turn it on every couple of days and run it overnight then turn it off)   https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/noco-noco-genius-5-battery-charger-6v-12v-5-amp/648987.html?cgid=SCA01060203#srsltid=AfmBOoq4kzQgrm1YHSZT0DzaCwVwwOcevgu0TSDcUvrNeOqI-0S5xJ1C&start=1   https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/century-century-cc1206-xli-12v-1-3-6a-9-stage-battery-charger/693006.html?cgid=SCA01060203#srsltid=AfmBOoq4kzQgrm1YHSZT0DzaCwVwwOcevgu0TSDcUvrNeOqI-0S5xJ1C&start=30   though these don't say anything about trickle charging, don't want it to overcharge the battery.
