R34 Gtt Lsd Rebuild

Hi guys I've got an r34 gtt lsd that's gone and i want to pull it apart and change the centre/rebuild it. Any suggestions on what i should do? Cheers

There is no rebuild. These things (unless you are lucky and have a helical LSD) are a viscous LSD. You can buy brand new viscous centres for them, but you would be absolutely insane to waste you money on doing so.

What you want is to buy yourself a nice mechanical centre (unless you are lucky and have a helical LSD) from Cusco or OS Giken or Nismo (or Kaaz or a couple other brands). Depending on your intended usage you'd go for a 1 way (street), 1.5 way (a bit of track work) or a 2 way (serious track work or masturbation, oh, I mean drifting). Except that I wouldn't, I would try to put a helical centre in there.

Yes it is. That would be the first one that I've ever seen.

Of course, if you were to open the back of mine, you'd see the same thing. Except that my helical centre came from an S15. So you cannot discount that process having been applied to that GTT diff also. Probably not warranted being that paranoid.....

Well, no, I did have to buy Silvia driveshafts to go with the diff. That would be the giveaway on the one you linked then wouldn't it? It's unlikely to be a transplant.
