Hey guys i have doing some research about the uprev tune on the american g37 forums.
seems to be able to get 30whp with my current mods(k&n filter, stillen hfc, megan racing cbe)

there are osiris uprev standard (499usd with cable) or osiris uprev tuner (699usd with cable)
the tuner version has more tuning opportunities:

*Cranking Enrichment and Ignition Advance
* Injector Latency
* K Fuel Multiplier
* Intake Temp
* Calculated Load vs. RPM
* Minimum Effective Injector Pulse Width
which one is best to go for? i live in north sydney any reputable uprev tuners around there?
Also my car has the common "shiver" at stationary i was hoping uprev tune would fix it. I have cleaned the TB and mass air flow meter which didnt fix the problem.

Absolutely none of those things are relevant for tuning for your mods.

What it comes down to is with the Tuner version you can take that to ANY tuner, and get them to download the software. They can then tune the car on a dyno.

The std package only comes with send away mail tunes as I understand it.

Have a search. Anyone can tune with Uprev. It is very similar to every other tuning software. If someone says they can't use it, they are retarded, and shouldn't be a tuner.

I would Suggest DVS Jez up the central coast.

What do you mean by stutter? At idle?

If you have modified the exhaust and intake there is a chance the tune is out enough at idle to require a retune, that tuning can also mask problems. I would say if you have an uneven idle there is perhaps a vacuum leak in the plenum/vac lines causing it to lean out slightly.

Nope, never heard or experienced the "stutter".

Scotty is right though, could be anything. Get it on the dyno and see. Could be AFM reversion, like some turbo cars face. What engine does it effect, VQ35de, Revup, VQ35HR, VQ37?

2008 vq37hr models. quite common problem on myg37.com

The rev drops from 1000 to 700 in a sec then goes up again at stationary.
When it takes off its fine.
A vaccum leak would cause shake like hell and mis-firing, i have none of that.

i think its something got to do with the VVEL timing.
I was hoping the uprev will give me a suitable tuned timing/afr and also a gain in power.

The car is currently untuned with just bolt-ons.

Depends how bad the vac leak is, and where it is...

The VVEL isn't active at idle.

Good idea, buy a 3.7L car then lean the mixtures out to try and save fuel, perhaps it's time to buy a micra? :P

I see. I might get my mech to check for leaks when I get it serviced in NOV.
couldn't careless about fuel usage, i am on average 16-17L per 100kmI.(that's with racing m3s and 911s) I just want reliability and safety with uprev. I see ppl leaning out on dyno with cai, headers un tuned.

G'day Colt 357,

I have a v36 SP, 2010. I have been expoloring Uprev to mainly get rid of the Jap speed limiting. Mine is car is stock engine wise so ot would be interesting to see what power increase I can with a tune.

East Coast Customs is an uprev distributor in Aus. Apparently the Osiris software is free and the cost is in the cable. I have read somewhere that you cant use it across multiple cars, but not sure how that could be enforced with software loaded to a local drive, unless the cable somehow tells the software it had been used on a specific ECU.

It's $770 inc GST and back in stock in a couple of weeks. Apparently the software is useable out of the box and you can do it yourself, depending on what you are trying to do of course.

I'll repost if I get it. I'm in Pyrmont so we could try it on multiple cars and see what happens and if it works chuck me $100 or something.

Yeah, no, it's not going to work on multiple cars.

Cable has an inbuilt licence. Once you reflash one car that licence is used, and cannot be re used until you flash a back to stock map onto the ecu. Then the licence becomes available to use with any compatible car.

You can however use cipher to log and diagnose on multiple cars. Why do you need to delimiter your v36? Not going to do 180 at the drags, you have no mods, so doubt your a track junkie, so.... Your not seriously wanting to do 180+ on the roads....?

If you buy it, you can easy DIY the speed limit removal.

Thanks Gents,

PN-Mad, Want get it de-limited so I can take it to track days at Eastern Creek where I got an M3 up to 260, so I figure I could get 220kmh out of my Skyline on the straight.

Colt 357, I hope I don't see you at traffic lights!

Good to hear.
