Rebuild Options

Im going a new rebuild for my gtr. I'm thinking of a 2.7 or 2.8 stroker.

I have two rb30 cranks sitting at home and I'm just wondering, Instead of buying a whole stroker kit could I use my rb30 crank in combo with the pistons and conrods?

Thinking of doing this because Its cheapper. Just a crank in the kit is worth 4K +

It won't really work in a 2.6 block.

dont stroke. either go rb30 bottom end, or stick with 26 size

If you know a good machine shop then there is nothing stopping you from going old school muscle and doing an offset grind of the crank to increase the stroke. A few people have done it with good success

If you're worried about that, then no one would run an RB26. They're not that crash hot from factory.

Rod/stroke ratio means sweet fa in the average street/club race engine.

If you want it to last 200, 000ks then use a piston with a slightly longer skirt

I've driven quite a few rb26 gtr's and rb27-28 strokers. The difference a stroker crank makes is incredible. Not to mention they are fully counterweighted these days and rev with ease and sharpness. I could add more but going to work.
