Hi all,

just want to know if anyone has any experience using a kanebo chamois?

I think it's been renamed to AION or something?

Having a black car, it's very hard to dry the car and not leave SOME small wet spots that are noticeable on inspection (as most of you would know, especially if you own a black car). Even after drying the car, it's inevitable to have water drip down from the windows or crevices lol.

ANYWAYS, my chammy has been used to the point that it no longer even dries. It's horrible lol.

So i just did a quick google search and found the Kanebo ones, and I heard they're pretty good, and from Japan. Can anyone confirm?

Found it for $18 on ebay, which is cheaper than the $25 Meguair's one from supercheap lol.

Mate, I use Bowdens Own microfibre chamois; they make a bunch of different sizes, and the big one is farkin' huge!
They glide really smoothly on my paint; no grabing, which means it can't be doing damage.

I also have a Black car; and the NM/V series Nissans have notoriously soft paint.

I reckon the bigger the better as you have to do less wipes. It's not cheap at $44 but it's more than twice the size of the Meguiars ones.

From a size perspective, I'd use a large Bowden's Microfibre on horizontal surfaces; but on vertical surfaces (close to the ground) smaller ones are safer IMHO.

Dead right Terry; I use mine fully open on the big flat panels, but folded on the sides.

Great minds eh? :whistling:
