Did anyone see the Today/Tonight story on Hoons ?

Just goes to show all the f'wits that do this are not the import owners, but good o'l Aussie vehicle drivers.... 99% of the cars where commodores, I did not see 1 import driver involved!!... the 1% was that stereo van.

Why were there no import drivers you ask?... well because the majority of import drivers are sensible drivers and respect the vehicle they have!!! .. its the minority that f it for us.

I hope the police read this post and realise who the moron drivers are out there!, please stop picking on imports and go after the real losers out there ... eg the VL/VN?VR/VS Commodre drivers that ruin it for everyone and can't do anything but burnouts.

Why do I feel like im hitting my head against a wall though when I say all this.

End rant!

Rob.

Yeah i sat there glued to the TV while my dinner got cold thinking this is gonna be a HATE peice focused n imports when all i end up seeing is COMMONWHORES!

Firstly is does just show who the real instigators of the problems are and secondly thanx for lettin my dinner get cold you barstards :) hehe

But seriously it must make the police think twice when this kinda of act is fully documented and caught on camera SHOWING that clearly in that footage there was 99.99% commondores.

Common SAPOL do us a favour and do something about the real problem, take a leaf outta VIC's book (can't beleive i said that) and do something about the real people cause problems out there on our roads.

Not all Commodore owners are losers mate.I own a caliais turbo and am nothing like that and never will be.

These guys are normally young P plater wanna be BROCKY'S, but dont put all of us into that bracket.

There are people out there doing that sort of stuff in all sorts of cars NOT just commodores. What makes people drifting there IMPORTS through industrial back streets any better? Just as bad.

No disrespect intended.

Majority spoil it for the minority.. oh or is it the other way around lol :D

It comes down to the ol' VL to VS's are pretty damn cheap to the point where every P plater and their dog can own one. This is why you see so many flying around, Just drive down Anzac on a Friday/Saturday night.

My sister who's 16 just bought a yellow VL BT1 on gas thats done what looks like a genuine 200,000km's for $1800 from a bloke that came in to some money and wanted a new car.

The imports.. some can afford them even though they are also getting cheap but the problem is insurance. This is what I think puts a lot of young people off them.

Its not so much its this car or that car its what P platers can afford at the time.

I think with the case of the imports its the minority that spoil it for the majority + a lot of the older school people really don't like the 'jap crap' cars.

My old man is one of them ;)

Thats my thoughts anyhow.

hahah.. i'm sure he will come around once he takes it for a spin.

He keeps asking me.. When are you dropping the motor in.. I say.. when i can get in the shed. ;) Funny thing is he used to freak out at me leaving the shed messy when I lived there, now i've moved out it is worse than ever. 1 VL Shell + 1 VL that runs but has no front shocks + wood shavings every where.. lol.

Yeah, i agree.

VL's and the like can be had for next to nothing these days, so they're affordable

to P platers for sure.

Imports are also getting very affordable, but like you said, insurance is a problem for these guys.

I am looking at putting my 500hp running gear into an R32 with GTR kit and 19's.

See how we go, very tempting.

    • Thanks mate, yeah I've heard that alot and i am definitely regretting using the 25 Loom now, i have gone through and traced all the plugs from the 20loom and re wired them into the 25 loom, I have currently got Crank, Fuel and accessory's working, just need to finalise the loom and run the wire for the Ignition (Spark) and it should be running, will update if i have any luck.
    • Cheers lad, when I head over there I'll give it a shot.
    • Stock less likely to carry one like that than urethane, but still can, especially if the bolts are not as tight as they should be. If it's making that much noise you should be able to use a hose as a stethoscope> stick one end in your ear, crouch down and wave it around the various possible noise makers and get someone to lift the front end at the guard lip.
    • Broken actuator rod. Could be one of a couple of them broken. Or, it's locked and the central locking actuator is broken/stuck or the actuator rods between it, the lock and the key barrel are jammed or broken similarly. You'll probably need a locksmith/mechanic who is experienced with using slim tools to reach down next to the window glass to manipulate the mechanism. That's assuming that it is not so severely jammed/broken that nothing useful will move.
    • So I've got my R34 GTT it's currently in Japan and I'm not there. I was wondering if any has any tips or ideas of what could be preventing the door from opening. I dont have really any information on it at all since I haven't actually seen the car in person yet.
