Getting cleaned and checked now also getting a reco (valve seats cut, milled & crack tested)

used stock rb25det pistons that look ok (comes with the rings if you like)

-$25 each

paul sorry but i cant supply the vin because i bought this engine from a workshop in bits as i needed some for my engine. Also there where differances in sensors and idle control on this engine that looked newer then mine.

Part numbers are in the pics below if you can read them. I'll write them out if you cant make them out. (sorry about the quality of the pics i'm trying to get my hands on a digital camera that works should have one tomorrow)

Wilso

I have almost a rb25 long motor in parts but missing

-Crank angle sensor

-oil filter block (stock oil cooler heat exhanger) & cooler

-pistons

-turbo

-temp sensor

Say $1200 for the lot and you can have the big end bearings too or if your just after some parts e-mail me please.

But I have no idea how much it would cost to send the engine overseas.

Sorry i'm using the box

Thanks

John

Hi John

I am interested in the ECU and AFM for a project I am doing. They don't have to work.

I am offering $100 for the both plus postage to Melb COD.

Let me know

Cheers

Rob

I dont really think it would be all that hard to put a rb25 in a 32 (i have one in my HR31) but you would need to talk to some people that have done it before.

As for my motor it would need to be rebuilt with new pistons & bearings before it could ever run not to mention that it is missing a few sensors coil packs etc

unless your getting a aftermarket computer i would get a halfcut for all the little bits you will need. This engine would be good for someone thats already got a rb25 on the way out and needs to get something ready to put in.

Thanks

I plan on buying a Microtech at the same time as changing my motor.

and considering i will start with $5k, that leaves me with 3.5k for an RB25. but i really wouldnt mind having some left over. just dont really want to stay with RB20.

Well that is something that you need to think about before you can go ahead, is if you can complete this engine within your budget.

The head was worked over for a bit of a reco/cleanup by my engine builder and The block is in good condition std bore etc. As the machinist is a friend of mine i could see how much it is to get some of the parts preped for you if you like.

Just to give you a quick idea i'm currently rebuilding my rb25 with

aries forged pistons ($1250)

clevite bearings see above ($70)

nissan full gasket kit ($375)

main bearings are still up in the air but they are cheap

plus lots of other goodies that you dont really need but the little things add up.

Depending on how much it costs you to get labour/machining done you may be able to get it done if your a heavy D.i.y'er (like me :D ) if not the labour involved will blow the budget to hell :Bang: i would think

Thanks

John
