Hi guys.

I'm doing the headgasket on the Stagea atm. I've got as far as getting the headbolts out but I can't seem to budge the head. Does it require a bit of force to separate it from the block or are there a few hidden bolts?

rb25det neo btw.

Cheers,

- Lance

maybe this - Theres a ten mm bolt(I think ten mm) at the front left side of the head behind the inlet manifold. Is a real bitch to get out with manifold on, I replaced mine with an allens key head one after doing head gasket to make easier in future.

I guess that answers the question about the locking up engine? :/

Kind of. Injector 4 stuck open and it hydro'd itself when I was checking other stuff. I had the injectors cleaned but when I did a compression test cyl 4 and 5 came up low so I was thinking it was a break in the head gasket between the cylinders. Turns out it was so it's off with the head and new gasket time.

I'm unsure if it was related to the stuck injector but it's all being fixed now.

Cheer man, I figured it out soon after I posted this asking and scratching my head a bit. The one up the front is a real bastard but it's all off now. Cheers for the help.
